the 6101 is comin monday.... 6102 later this month
...
Like when? I need the 6102 cause I have Cingular.
...
supposedly by the 15th, but normaly the system would show inventory in the ndc before the phones could ship to the stores and inventory is still showing 0. not that the spreadsheet is up to the minute or anything.
...
Will someone be able to perhaps post to this forum when the 6102 inventory does show up please? Thanks! đ
...
im sure we'll be all over it as soon as we get word
...
how much is this phone full price? đ

so what does that mean? I called the cingular store here today and they said end of next month hopefully?
...
it will be available on 9/15/05. At first it's only special order because it's a HAC phone. Normal sales should start within a couple weeks of that...
...
hearing aid compatible
...
the 6101 and 6102 are the ame type of phones, if you go to phone finder and carriers and see the phone both cingular and tmobile are getting it... tmobile is the 6102 and cingulr is 6101 there the same phone
...
The 6101 doesn't include the 850 band, that's why he needs the 6102.
...
you have no idea what you're talking about, do you?
Both versions are available in a 850 or 900 version. The main difference is the keypad.
Cingular will be carrying the 850 6101 only.
Rogers (CA), for example, carries the 850 6102 only.
The 6101 has the smaller buttons.
...
Guess what...the version T-Mobile is offering does not support the 850 band. Therefore, he can't use T-Mobile's 6101 on Cingular very well, now can he?
...
Well, the version Rogers is offering does. Perhaps you should visit the 6101/6102 forum.
...
Service
Tri-band GSM 850/1800/1900 MHz
Thats from the Nokia USA website for the 6101 offered by Tmobile.
...
By the way, Cingular is carrying the 6102, not the 6101. Now who doesn't know what they're talking about again?
...
my appologies, I got them backwards.
The point remains, though, that there is an 850 version of both.
Cingular is getting the 6102
Rogers (CA) already has the 6101.
The 6101 has the big buttons, the 2 has the small ones.
You just have to buy the 850 version.
...
I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE 6102 WILL BE HERE ON 9/14 OR 9/16
...
đ˛ Can I ask where you are located?
...
buffalo/rochester new york area
...
i live in niagara falls new york, so i should be able to get it this week?
...
I'll bet anything that the phone wont be available until the 25th or so.
...
I've been told that the release date has now slipped to Sept. 29 instead of the 20th so I guess we'll have to be patient a little while longer âšī¸ .
...
That's tooo bad, even though I won't be getting this phone, it just kinda sucks that it is already on T-mobiles website! đĸ

6102 wont be here til mid october
...
And the keyboard is different than the 6101. Cingular really got screwed because we have these teeny tiny keys that look ugly as hell.
T-mobile's is much more asthetically pleasing.
...
All I know is I'm sick and tired of being called a LIAR because Cingular can't decide when the perfection will hit them and release the phone.
Customers are going absolutely insane over this. They call my store on a daily basis yelling and screaming and telling us how we're "false advertising" because we say 1 date and then it turns into something else then something else again.
When we say "it's probably going to be out by (such and such date)", that means we haven't a clue either!! đŋ
...
6101/6102 forums reporting cingular has decided not to carry the phone (someone claiming to be a cingular rep). anyone at cingular know if this is legit or not?
...
I think it might be B.S.
These phones are tested for MONTHS before they are released. Why would Cingular wait until a week or 2 before they decide not to get the phone?
...
well, I suppose if those tests start to go bad, they can pull the phone at any time prior to release. It may be the testing cycle is just ending, and the phone has disappointed them.
...
howardforums has a thread on this same topic, and they're calling bullshit on cingular NOT carrying it. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
...
I actually got an offer in the mail 2 days ago about this phone, to pay only $89.00 with a 2 year contract (i've been w/sprint for 5 years) but I was tempted by the cool phone. I have a lg slider phone with sprint. But I don't know.. is cingular even worth the change? Everything seems more expensive, sure! they have rollover but still doesn't seem worth the time.
So are they RELEASING or NOT RELEASING this nokia phone??
...
If you want this phone go with the 6101 with Tmobile. Once you deal with Cingular reps a few times you will see what I mean. The phone is more expensive with Tmobile, but it's only a 1 year contract and the reps are alright.
...
Makes no sense to go to - Tmobile, more expensive phone and still no service compared to Cingular.
...
Is $50-$60 worth 1 year of your time?
...
??? are you offering me a lower price? not sure what you mean
...
I work in dmdr telesales and deal with those offer letters. Unfortunately those with the nok6102 did go out early. On the 15th, there will be inventory of the HAC6102's (HAC=hearing aid compatible) Inventory for the normal (ens enabled) has slipped to the 29th, and there is no guarantee inventory will be available then. So if you call telesales today, we are supposed to offer you an lg, or the v551, both of which cost more. My suggestion, if you are in no rush to change providers, Call on the 29th. If you are in a rush, ask for the v180, $49.99 and has a $50 mail in rebate, then when the 6102 is available, exchange the phones under the 30 days buyers remorse policy.
...
I know it's getting close. I received my marketing material and dummy phone today for the 6102 and the 6682.
...
where are you located??
...
do you know about new york?i thought it was the 15th
...
Thank YOU! Guess we will wait a little longer. Thanks again! đ
