Is there any way to find out if my area is orange or blue (or integrated already)? Sacramento, CA.

I don't have any great need to know, I'm just curious.

both, and you have a bundle of towers there too. Is it rather uneven terrain?

I'm sure you know, the entire network here was originally blue. They've updated the towers to be recognized as orange now though. That's why my friend's phone that is still on AT&T is always displaying roaming.

So does he have to pay roaming charges??

No, seeing as he technically isn't roaming. The towers are recognized as Cingular's, and any roaming charges on those towers are credited off his bill and reapplied as normal airtime.

It seems that that would be alot of hassle for cing. To keep crediting and reapplying charges.

its automatic, programmed into every tower for any att cust and it is waived off in the billing systems as well, since they have info of what towers they roamed on, and all towers are marked to an auto-waive setup

Yes! Apparently freedomrep believes in the direct marketing approach. You know 'bash the competition' and maybe you will trick someone from going or staying with Cingular. Desperation tactics.

Yes, I knew we were all blue, but I didn't know if they had integrated our area into orange yet or not.

What exactly do you mean by a "butt-load?" It doesn't seem that way in the area that I just moved to. I lose signal more than I ever have in my new house.
