ATT/Cing to Cingular phone #?

Will I automatically keep my old Att/Cing cell number or is it something I have to ask for?

Depends on how you switch to Cingular. If you go to retail stores who constantly lie to customers and tell them they cant keep there numbers... then no, you will get a new number. If you call the Loyalty dept, yes, you CAN keep your number AND we have better phone prices. Store reps get more commission for new cust, verses migrated customers.

Don't make generalizations based on one douchebag sales rep you encountered that told you that. There are plenty of good sales reps out there that will tell you the truth.

if you're a blue business customer (maybe not) you'd migrate over the phone but in order to retain you're number you do have to migrate........ and migrating by the third party like wirefly is a cruel joke in my experiances the number does not port over through a third party
