6682 or Rokr...Which is music better

From a music stand point only, which is better. Please do not let the 100 song limit on the Rokr make the decision. With the song limit aside, which is better from a music point of view?

About the same music wise. But the 6682 is the better phone.

The 6682 is a much better choice. You don't have to pay for any crappy itunes either. YOu can put what you want on your phone. The ROKR doesn't let you use those itunes for ringtones either. And honestly the only 'music phone' that sounds better than nokia's are the walkman phones from sony. But they don't sound much better, especially if you buy the nokia stereo headset to listen to your songs.

You can put what you want on the ROKR as well. We have a hard drive with 11,000 songs in store to make ringtones for customers and I can load songs right into the ROKR from there.

Considering you can use ANY headset with the ROKR without an adapter I am failing to see why people here are just outright dismissing it as inferior.

The 6682 may have more features, but add the headset and data cable (as are included with the ROKR) and the phone is also $100 more. I would hope it has more features for an extra $100.

texaswireless i read your posts all the time and i can rarely find any way shape or form to debate you, but the 6682 does come with a data cable and a headset.

🙂 🙂

also i think it's a much, much better phone, hence why i purchased it over the ROKR.

how about the fact that the ROKR is made by motorola and as of late all of there phones have been crap. we have nothing but returns on the RAZR and the 551, and the interior/exterior screens on the 180/220 always burst. nokia just makes a better product all around.

Well,

Your store either has extremely bad luck or you are exaggerating. The Motorola products have been as good as any other brand lately for returns. That is based 100% on published return rates from Cingular. Considering we sell many MORE Motorola phones than Nokia means more are returned for issues but the defective % is close to the same.

Since the V551 handsets began shipping with new software I haven't had a single complaint in store about the unit and not a single RAZR has been returned as defective. I have never seen this "phantom" LCD bursting you claim on the V220/V180.

What I have seen over the years is the propensity of reps to gain a liking of a particular brand and that translates to a bias against the others.

well i think that you have had extremely good luck with your phones. xbm even sen tout an email stating that there were issues with this "phantom" bursting of the lcds as you call it. and just because the v551 has the new software, it doesnt mean that it's not problem free. between the new software on the v551 and the v3's that we have been recieving lately, we've had nothing but phones that lock up and no matter what you do, they stay that way, screens that go blank and dont come back, and phones that no matter how many times you provision them, they just wont work right.

me personally, i dont have a propensity to a certain brand. my work phone is a nokia and my personal phone is an SE s710a, and i think that that is one of the best phon...
