On what do you base the better reception claim?
Nokia's are known to have better reception than Motorola's on a GSM network.
Well, I have been selling GSM since it's launch in the USA and I completely disagree. I personally don't believe Nokia dominates others in reception, especially Motorola.
Yes the 6010 rates well but what you state is opinion, not fact.

Nokias DO outperform most other phones. 3 of the top 5 reception phones with Cingular are Nokias
The last list I saw had the two SE rated number one and four I believe. Everyone here loves to rip them for their reception so what does that tell you about that list?
The Motorola V180 also rated as the number one non-camera phone (against some pretty good competition) by CNET and MSN.
What that says to me is either the differences are extremely small or phones don't all perform as tested.

Cingular doesn't publish these "ratings" to either internal employees or customers for one big reason, they are unreliable. If you happen to get them (I have seen a similar list) you would be wise to not place so much stock in something so arbitrary.

Only the high end motorola's. You have to pay at least $150 for a motorola to hold a signal. You can take the free Nokia and get just as good of signal as you can on a high end Nokia or a high end Motorola.
Low end motorola's drop calls like babies drop loads.
