A couple questions about changing rate plans.
A. Will that be a new contract, or will the 2-year agreement stay the same?
B. When will the change take effect? I want it for next week, or at the very least the 1st of October. I just paid my latest bill, if that's relevant.

If you don't have a GSM phone you'll have to upgrade your phone to GSM first, and then we'll put you on any Nation plan you want.
The plan will take effect on your next billing cycle (to avoid pro-rated charges) Do you know when your billing cycle ends/starts?
Billing cycle looks to be the duration of a month.
No, your billing cycle is the date when your minutes reset. If you're not too sure what this date is, look on your bill (if you have detailed billing) and see. Your billing cycle will start on whatever date your calls start. ex. 8/12/05

Ah.
They started on the 3rd this month.
🙂 we both have the same billing cycle.
Ok, so if we changed your plan tomorrow, it won't take effect until 10/3/05 (it's gonna be after 10/01/05) so you'll only get to bring whatver minutes your new plan has. EX. if you want the Nation plan for $39.99 450R UM2M UN&W. Even if you have 2,873 rollover minutes. you'll only get to bring 450 minutes, cause that's how many minutes your new plan has.
Also, the website is telling me the $39.99 450R plan doesn't have UM2M or UN&W. That's also not that big a detail, though.
Now, even if you change your plan by Oct 22nd. you should be fine. Your roaming calls won't be billed for another 2 or maybe 3 months anyway. It doesn't matter really what plan you have when you place the calls. But what plan you have when those calls are billed to us.
Let's say your billing cycle closed today, and we changed your plan, you came here to FL and used your phone, you went back to New England on 10/09 and first thing you changed your plan back to a Regional plan. You won't be covered, cause when those calls you placed here in FL are billed to you (let's say those calls are charged in you billing cycle 11/03/05 - 12/02/05. if you have the regional plan then BAM! you ge...

Thanks for the help, man.

Oh, and look, Cingular's website has decided to screw up for me.

Think it's gone through? Should I just go to a Cingular store tomorrow and forget this internet business?
