2 different coverage maps? Why?

Ok, I went by the cingular store today and picked up some brochures. I looked at the coverage map on the Go phones. I compared them both and the Nation (non-go phone) is by far LARGER 😳 . Why? I looked at a recent brochure; it's been revised in 2005. OK, according with the Go phone map there's no service whatsoever in Montana, South and North Dakota, Wyoming. And Nebraska, New Mexico and Idaho have barely any coverage. I thought go phones had the same coverage as any other post-paid phone.
Anyone else noticed / has an explanation to this?

I figured that much; but my burning question is: who are roaming there with? T-Mobile? are you trying to say that T-mobile is bigger than cingular? or do we have roaming agreements with regional GSM carrier in those states?

it's the regional GSM carriers that they can't use. roaming with T-mobile is actually very limited.

Those roaming agreements are with several smaller regional carriers, along with some T-Mobile agreements but not many.

No, T-Mobile is not larger than Cingular. However, T-Mobile has coverage in places Cingular does not, and of course the other way around.
