Hey all, is there any way I can get the Cingular Tune on my Moto V300? I already got a cool Cingular graphic on my phone! Once my T-Mobile contract is out, I am coming back to Cingular!!! I haven't had Cingular in two years! I miss it so much!

Can you all help me get the cingular tune? Thanks!

how come you don't just get a new phone when you sign up for Cingular? I'm confused on why you would want the Cingular tune but not get a Cingular phone. It's like me saying "Hey Ferrari, I have a Honda Accord but I want the Ferrari emblem on it." doesn't really make much sense 😉 (not trying to be rude if it comes off like that)

He wants a phone that works. He knows his Moto v300 from T-Mobile is a reliable phone, therefore he believes he should keep it instead of giving up a perfectly good phone for one that may not fit what he wants/needs as well. Notice his handle. I highly doubt that phone has ever given him any problems.

Aaaaand...

That's the beauty of GSM, isn't it?

That is true, I'm not saying that the V300 is an inferior phone, however, the V300 won't run on 850, so...... reliable or not, he'll recieve better service on a new phone. perhaps another motorola. GSM is great, no doubt about it, it's convenient and efficient. I agree with you fully. 🙂 thanks for the reply though 🙂

Oh, that is a very good point. I wasn't sure whether or not the v300 included the 850 band, but I guess it is a rather old phone in T-Mobile's lineup (considering they're offering more phones with 850 support). That's a great thing you picked out. I think it would be best for him to choose a new phone too, now that you brought that point up.

Well thank you 😁 😉 I think that the V300 had some good things about it ( I unfortunately had numerous problems with it) I just think that with all these new Motorola's coming out that there is bound to be one that is going to be just as reliable for mr/ms ilovev300 as the V300 🙂 I think the new Linux based phones from motorola are going to be KILLER!! 😁 😳 😁

Thank you!!! And, Cingular has 1900 GSM in my area and in my mom's area, which is the only place I travel to. I have already tested my phone and it works great on cingular's wonderful network. Now quit debating and someone email me the cingular tune so i can download it on my phone already!!!!!

Using a USB cable hookup and some programs you can enable the V300 to use 850 MHz. It's actually pretty easy.

I thought he was a she?

The cingy tune on our phones is locked (I tried to delete mine to make more room), so you may have to grab it off a website if you can it. Poke around on Cingular.com and see if it's on there.

Hey Cingular forum, I hope you enjoy this guy. He's just a little "special" and we won't miss him around the T-Mobile forum.

Thank you Ginni,

The cingular tune is catchy, and I love the cingular jack. I downloaded a pic to my phone with the Cingular jack on it

Just listen to it online and, while it's playing, record it. You'll have it on your computer, then send it over to your phone.

I wonder how many people actually do that.

go to the ringtones section of the Cingular website, go to polyphonic, and then go to "cingular picks" in the list. at the top it will then let you download it for free.
