Im a Cingular Wireless Sales Associate. I have been with the company for a 1.5 years. Before I worked for Cingular I was with Verizon For 2.5 years as a senior sales rep. As of the last 4 months I feel as if I have lost the interest and desire to do what I do. Between cust care telling customers one thing and the stores telling them another. To getting yelled at because a cust bought a phone online and it didnt show up for a month. I used to love these things I saw them as challenges now all I feel is bitternes towards the system..............Any advice?????????

Or maybe even the coast guard so that you can drop your prototype Verizon RAZR 600ft and tell people that there is not a scratch on it. 🙄

Or swim 50 miles with your phone in your pocket and still have it function when you get out of the water. 🙄

Seriously, though, just look beyond the BS. Every company and every business has it, you just need to always remember to find a way to have fun with what you are doing.

Okay, so all the people who have replied have been really rude to you! I'm sorry you feel burnt out with Cingular, but you are definitely not the only one. Since our policies and commission scales have changed so drastically in the past months, reps and customers alike are more frustrated with Cingular than ever before. It's okay that you feel burnt out. I am also very tired of working with customers and cell phones when everyone always expects us to know and do everything for them and curses us out when we don't do exactly as they want. It also doesn't help that these scenes take up too much of our time in such slow months when we need every little thing we can get to drive our commission up to what is fair and reasonable pay by the en...

If you would FULLY read what I wrote, you would notice that I did mention what the customers feel. Here's the thing, though... You don't go to JC Penneys & ask them how to make a bed just because you bought your sheets there. You don't go to the guy who sold you a new car & tell him to fix a problem with it. You go to the service people for these products to get issues resolved. Our customer service reps, technicians, and warranty and insurance people are not in the store anymore. Why can't customers quit thinking that sales reps are really

I don't know about Cingular, but AT&T has not had phone technicians in their stores for about 5 years, at least.

That is why VZW has such an edge. They have someone that can look at, and fix, your phone at all times. It is a major convenience for their customers.

I personally like my Cingular service better just because of the features on the phones. But VZW definately has the service side of the industry cornered because they have the "hands on" technicians that make the customer feel "warm and fuzzy."

I third that... I really used to enjoy my job and I have been with the company for 5 years... And I lately just don't fell like it anymore... Something has to change from within the company for us to enjoy our jobs again. And I mean change for the better because all the changes over the past two years have all been downhill ☚ī¸
