Is it just me, or does the training we get as CSRs leave a lot to be desired? Been working here for about a year now, and am only now finding out some of the basics required to do this job properly. Yes customer's can be a pain in the neck, but that is what we get paid to handle. What seems to upset me the most is that I keep getting conflicting information from the Res Desk, Managers, TL's and OM's.. simple questions, simple solutions that seem to take on a life of their own with no satisfactory resolution. I as well was once a utah call center salesman, but for qwest wireless (hey, if you can push that stuf, you can push anything) and i did pretty well for the service i was pawning off. But hit your numbers most importantly. it'll get you out of the headsetted hellhole that is the call-center and a chance at a sales rep spot. If you are located where i think you are, bring sales numbers to a local cingular store (preferably one with the white "authorized agent" box in the window). we may have a spot open for a reliable sales rep.
