I just relocated a phone to my FT plan. The phone is a SE T226 (don't laugh, no comments please 🙂 ). Either way, when replacing the SIM, the bracket, along with 2 prongs, broke off. There's no way now to access the phone since the SIM cannot be inserted. When it's turned on, the screen reads "Insert SIM." Anyone have any ideas? I called Cingular, they said they can't do anything. Even called SE and was told the same thing. Just hoping maybe someone had some ideas.

Your best bet is to replace the phone that is damage beyond the warranty. SE can fix it if u mail it to them. But they will charge u for the repair.

Yeah, $100. I'm thinking of doing a warranty exchange, at least to get a phone. Would I get the same phone or (hopefully) a different one?

I'm actually thinking of leaving Cingular. I really don't want to, but reception really bites in my area. Check out my other post.
