switching from verizon to cingular...is it worth it?
I spend a lot of time in the New Brunswick area of New Jersey as well as in NYC and in Los Angeles. After the whole V710 debacle, I don't really want to do business with Verizon anymore; although, the service is good in Los Angeles (where i spend the majority of my time). Is it worth it to switch to cingular? Is the service superior? Is the customer service really as bad as everyone says it is? I have been researching this for about a month and can't really find any definitive answers. Please help! Thanks everyone.

I think that they are using the old ATT network in LA and it is subpar in LA.So the answer would be no.

i do believe it woule be worth the switch. the worst that could happen is you switch and it doens't work out as well as you hoped. that's why we have an industry-longest 30-day return policy. just make sure you get a nice phone. PDA phones typically get worse reception as phones. get a Nokia, Samsung, or a Moto V3.

Since we are talking about LA, definitely get a good phone if you are using Cingular.
