😲 ☚ī¸ đŸ˜ĸ Cingular discontinued the LG 4050, and the Nokia 3200, hopefully this is due to new phones coming out soon! 🙂

the LG L1200 will be replacing the LG 4050...but i don't understand why the Nokia 3200 is already discontinued...it's only been out a couple months! I will never understand Nokia, they do a lot of their phones like that...

It's not NOkia that is discontinuing the phone, i have a store that sales AT&T and they aren't discontinuing it, so it must be Cingular who is getting rid of it. Also, the phone is okay, but it was too expensive for who is was targeted for.

teenage girls is who it's target was, how much money do you think they have, i know most of them's parent have it, but they aren't going to spend the money for it, especially since this phone came out like a month after christmas, maybe if it was like a month before christmas it would be a different story.

yeah, you're right about cingular dropping it...i should've rephrased that, but i know that a lot of nokia phones do not stay out that long before they are discontinued...but it's amazing that someone like cingular will be getting what seems like, all new phones, all at the same time...

well i hope they are coming out and just not on our price sheet. because we only had like 3 new phones our new price sheet that aren't available yet it says.... so we'll see..

6230 would be nice
7200 would be nice too.. if nokia doesn't watch it, they'll lose more than the 15% of the market share they have already lossed becaues of not having a flip phone.

i love my V600, had it for over a month now and no problems what so ever. I used nokia for the longest time, but there screens are just horrible. There featuers aren't there unless you want a phone that looks like a remote control either..

Well it is possible to simply flash your V400 to the V600 software specs, you just won't have the bluetooth. Mind you, it totally voids your warranty and you can toast your phone so it is not recommended. 😕

Well usually depends on a lot of factors why a company chooses to drop a model.

Sales of that model.
Issues with the model.
How fast the manufacturer corrects the issues.
Marketing results of that model.
Future sales estimates of that model.
Features.
Network compatibility.
and so on.

Yeah we are dropping some models but we are getting others and we still have the most robust selection out there.

Yeah sure! robust selection! keep dreaming. What Cingular needs is more flip phones, about %90 of customers nowadays want nothing but a flip phone! but isn't because of this that Cingular is dropping Nokia? or is it SonyEricsson? I don't like Nokia because I don't want to have a phone that looks like a remote control! I love flip phones and Im not the only one, customer are catching on, and Cingular needs to catch up with what their customers want.

What Marcus says is true and we are getting more. Where are you getting your percentages? We are not dropping Nokia nor SE, both of them have flip phones coming out...the SE z500a for one. Simply take a look at our phone selection compared to other companies and you will that we are very competitive.

Odd about the LG 4050, I thought the LG 1200 was replacing the LG 4010 not the 4050. đŸ˜ŗ
