Just got the news -- Cingular is losing (badly) the patent infringement case involving the Cingular TDMA prepaid replenishment/accounting system and must now, by order of a Judge, stop activating any new TDMA's ANYWHERE. What's even better -- we can't even service TDMA customers at all in 90 days unless Cingular throws some Hail Mary. Woooo!!!!!!! I hate TDMA. 😎

You jumped between TDMA and TDMA Prepaid. Yes we can't activate any TDMA accounts but that has been around for almost a year now. TMDA postpaid customers will continue to have their service and rate plans but its the prepaid customers that are going to be impacted.

Um, you're wrong about not being able to activate TDMA prepaid customers -- we were able to activate them in many markets especially in the Central region. But yes, for people like you I should have explicitly said that we are having to shutdown our prepaid TDMA business but that should have been a given since I was talking about Cingular's patent infringement of the TDMA prepaid replenishment system software. 🙄

Yes I know we could activate TDMA prepaid. But you were saying TDMA which could mean postpaid customers as well.

I took it the same way. I thought you made the jump from the prepaid to post-paid as well.
