Question about Recording Voicemail

Fluffhead

Oct 20, 2005, 2:03 PM
I'm an employee at a Cingular store, and I was wondering if anybody out there new of recording devices that you could plug into a normal house phone to record phone calls. I have a voicemail from my girlfriend who died this past sunday that I'd like to record and keep and give to her family, and I want to try and do it before Cingular decides that the new Lucent VM is terrible as well and switches everyone over to something else (I've already lost three or four of her voicemails this way).

Any reply would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Very sorry about your loss. If you can, grab a TREO 650 and use the voice record software available for the unit. It will save the file which can then be downloaded to your desktop.

We just did it here in the store to record a threatening voicemail left with someone. PM me for more details if you like and I can have the employee who did it send you the details.

you could also go to radio shack and i'm sure they would have the correct adapters to output the sound through the headphone jack to either a tape recorder or a PC.
