Its-The-Network

wow, cingy is really getting it's butt kicked.
It's sad how they are slowly losing their first place title. Cingular was never really a good company to begin with, I guess there is no reason to think because they bought 20 million customers anything would really change. They have an extremely unstable network and terrible customer service and it's really starting to show. I really want cingular to do well, verizon needs some type of competition, come on t-mobile.

If Cingular is such a bad company not worthy of respect why do we have trolls like you in our forum?

Being a "troll" in a Cingular forum is like a band at an unpopular wedding. The band plays and the wedding party dances anyway to feel better.

So keep up the dance boys.

Wow, Verizon did really well. They added 1.9 million new customers. From what I read awhile back, Cingular added 867,000.

What I don't get is how all of this is going down. I mean, I remember sittin' through all of those "Cingular has now merged with AT&T Wireless" commercials for months, and I really thought that Cingular had it made. Now it turns out that Verizon is blowin' them away? Wha?

How exactly did THAT happen? And what can Cingular do to stop it?

Well I do not think there is anything that Cingular can do in the short term to stop Verizon. Verizon has been stable and in place for years while Cingular seems to be having all kinds of problems with the merger which really seems to be turning people off. All I know is that network improvement are on the way. They plan to invest billions of dollars into their network over the next few years but who isn't. Im just glad that here in Texas we have not had a lot of the problems that everyone else has been talking about.

Yeah Cingular is becoming a "regional" carrier in Texas. The T Mobile of Texas. If and when Verizon decides to focus on Texas and you know they will and most likely are, that will change as well.

They can focus on Texas and that will be fine. That will just add to the number of good carriers in our state.

When people taste steak they may not go bac to hamburger. You guys in Texas should know that!

When having Verizon is considered prestigious, that will be the death knell. The young who are more concerned with bling and prestige would rather be seen driving a Lexus then a Ford despite the additional costs. Its all about perception, not reality. In this case in many areas the perception is the obvious reality for Verizon.

You sure bro? Verizon did really well, apparently a lot better than Cingular, but I don't think they're "prestigious" or anything among young people.

I don't think any carrier really is, though some of the little guys (MetroPCS, etc) sometimes get dogged on for bein' 'ghetto' and not workin' too well. But fo' the price, can you complain much?

Cingular STARTED it. They "meant" to to it. Because they are "focusing" on their network. NOT gaining customers.

I suppose that means their sales reps are now installing towers while they farm out their sales to Radio Shack. the excess sales reps are "working on the network."

You are so vindictive, like a broad. Cingular wronged you but let it go. Sprint wronged me but I have no hard feeling toward them, I just switched. No name calling, just move on.

No really thats what Cingular Sales reps are saying. "We meant to do that" "We are focusing on the newtwork not new customers (or old customers apparently)

What other conclusion can a reasonable person come to?

YEah, that'd be nice. 'Cus if Verizon kicks everyone else's ass out of the ring, then what you bet they'll start to raise prices on folks?

Cingular needs not to hate on them that whupped them, they need to appreciate how they did it and come back swingin'.
