Blackberry/Treo refurbs...
I don't know if this is just my market, area code 18929, but on cingular.com they have Blackberry and Treo refurbs, for $69.99 and $139.99 respectively.
I sell cingular all day, everyday. I have no gripes with cingular. But doesn't this seem a little wrong? We've all seen the problems with the Treo, namely. Haven't seen any really with the Blackberry. But doesn't it seem wrong to activate a customer with one of those, have them sign a two year commitment, and probably have to use two warranty claims in a year? Maybe even more?
Any thoughts, please..

That is not just your area. I just tried it for my zip code (15106) and a friend of mine in VA that is looking to buy a Treo (23113).

I just called and the csr told me $139 (i don't think she is right but I am ordering one hopefully it will be that price.)

According to one rep...if you have an account and you are not at the renewal stage, then you have to pay full price for the refurb (same as a new unit).
The $139 price for the Treo is only for new customers...

That is the same response I got when I emailed them.

yea, they are clearing inventory of both models, because updated models are coming out soon. The treo had problems, but they re-flashed them with the newer version of the software so they are "all fixed" now. good deal on the price too.
