i know i posted this a few times on another thread but it didnt pop up at the top like i thought and i didnt want my review to get over looked, SOOOOOOOO here i go again.

while i havent got the samsung for my cou our store has two live lg 7200 ptt's that me and my co-worker are usin.

the clarity and volume is real good. the clarity is much better than nextels in my opinion. the connection time is of course a down side but a 5 sec average connection time isnt as bad as it sounds. and once its connected you cant notice any latency difference with a nextel.
the way its set up is kinda like you instant message buddy list. when you login initially login to the ptt feature you are propted to create a user name which is s...

Our PTT is better than that of Nextel 😎

Voice Messaging
Group Calling
Call Conversion (PTT to Cellular) pretty cool eh?
Contact Alert.

I'm very excited about our new product. 😁 I think Nextel has a real competitor now. I guess time will tell.

well i must say that i think that many people will prefer it however nextel does have some cool new features like mms over there ptt protocol. but again they are the originators of that technology so saying were better w/o even launching it officially is ignorant. im excited as the rest of us but im not sounding like a cult leader about it. only time will tell and after time it will still only be opinion.

Nextel has group calling.

Nextel has call conversion, if the entry has a phone number

Nextel has an "alert only" as well.

So the only thing Cingular PTT has is a way to leave a message on PTT; this may be useful to some, but I predict that having too many options will just serve to confuse the average user. Nextel's huge advantage...even compared to sprint's PTT (I haven't seen/played with Verizon's or Cingulars beyond this review)... is that is so simple to use, you might as well be using a two-way radio: find the name, push the button, you're connected. No significant delay, it isn't even terribly complicated to add entries to your PTT list; anybody who has operated a radio can do it.

my .02 worth, as usual....

Hey, after using the LGs, when you pop your SIM in another phone, are you getting all kinds of crazy text messages with something like:

"555555 ((((((*****407742xxx 33***)))))){{{{{[[[[[****"

or to that effect? (Not exactly like that, but more crazy characters)

A couple of us that have used it are getting it now.

no not yet, i dont think they have provisioned my account for employee ptt because it said that additional charges may apply when i started using it for the first time but i dont think that that would make a diffeence. if you find out let me know so i can fix it if it happens to me. and yo, i never found the paycuts you were talkin about for december in csp.

Under CSP, go to "November Commission Update". Open that up, and look on the right hand side for "Seasonal Adjustment".

(For one example, where a $59.99+ plan lands you $28 commish, it will now be $19.)

Of course theyre not gonna broadcast it, so you have to look for it!
