The answer to "why" the s710 was dropped is because it was old.

It lived the average cell phone life span. They're usually (or at least used to be) only on the market for 100 days.

what!?!?!?!? the razr been around since nov. 2004, the samsung x427 survived the holocost, the sammy e316 is an offical old head, and i know some nokia's that pushed the envelope for way more than 100 days.

man 😡 i was trying to get the se 710a. yes the w600i is going to be newer but i personally don't think it will BETTER.

i want another music phone like my nokia 3300 but i don't see it happening anytime soon.

I'll sell you my S710a. But if you really want one, try going to a Cingular Corporate store. All of the ones in my area still have this phone.

I don't know. I never really thought about it. See if you can get one at the store, because I think you would probably rather a new one....and if you can't get one, send me a PM and I'm sure we can work something out.

There are always exceptions, and you're right about the razr and the 427. Most don't last that long though.
