cingy csr reps help!!!!!

hey i currently have the v551 and have been through 4 of them going on five if i let them process this return. i called in a few minutes ago only to hear there is no compareable phone to my v551. i argued and pleaded to this guy he said the only option he is givin to choose from is the v551. i'm sick of this phone it always gives me the network to busy when trying to make a call, the pictures i take after i save them it makes the photos look like the ones on THE RING ( u know the stretched photoshop look). i argeud with him for a while only to hear him say he couldn't do anything. and i asked him is their any other solution for me to get a new phone he said try customer care and see if they can work something out.

what exactly is xbm. i hope its not the 1 800 801 1101 number i keep calling. cuz they just keep sending me to another warranty department because i have the $4.99 insurance plan.

tell them not to transfer you to file an insurance claim. if they want to, ask for a supervisor and explain to them what the deal is.

That's because once you have the 4.99 feature on your account XBM is no longer responsible for warranty exchanges concerning your phone. The department you get xferred to is Lock/Line.

Not true. XBM handles all warrantie and lockline is for the replcaement with the 50.00 dollar charge

Actually again you are incorrect. This could be why our customer service rankings are always so poor. How about you goto Csp and type in Equipment Premium Protection and read the job aid. It specifically sites what the feature covers and who covers it.

yeah thats the exchange by mail number. from what I understood they were only subb the v551 for the v23 (temporarly) because some stocks were not aviable

I have had the V551 one since it came out last year and I've at least experienced the Call Failed problem.

To solve that, make sure you turn your phone OFF at least once every day. Off and Back on. That's it. It cycles the updates Cingular sends to your sim card, which is something Motorola phones cannot do properly. They will stop working normally after about three days, and completely after ten.

Nokia phones also do this, but they take up to three or four weeks.

Another suggestion is to get an Axalto 64k sim card. This will most likely solve the Call Failed issue.

As far as the camera, I'd have to actually see and handle the phone to help you out with that.

Offer them a phone solution and ask them to see if a supervisor will agree with it. I would tell them that you would be happy with the Sony Z520a. That phone is totally comparable to the 551. I am trying to do the same kind of thing with my 6230, so I feel your pain.

I was the one who asked you about your 6230 exchange. I dont know how you did it, but they will not budge for me. If I wanted a Motorola or a flip phone, I would have bought one! The S710 is the only phone that has all the same features that I want. And the S66 isn't gunna cut it either. Its crap. So I am not going to exchange it. Ill just use my new 6682.

By the way, the rep decided to tell me that I shouldn't be upset about getting the phone that I want because I am eligible for an upgrade. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? If I was a regular customer I would have ripped him apart. IF I WANTED TO BUY A NEW PHONE THEN I WOULD. Well, I guess that I did, hehe. But I want a working, comparable phone in place of my 6230. Botton Line.

Did you try talking to a supervisor??? I was just really nice and sugar coated everything and the XBM rep went to her supervisor without me even asking for one and got the authorization to do it. Granted, that was after a week of phone calls between XBM and Customer Loyalty.

I was trying to get the 6682, but they wouldn't give me that one.

I know. I was just messin with ya. I wish I was close to being eligible to upgrade because I want that 6682 more than I want anything else right now. (except for maybe the RAZR v3i).

If I was you, I would stick with my SE until they come out with the v3i. I can tell that you will stop at nothing to get that phone. The 6682 is great, but no need to spend money on it if you ar gunna drop a big dime on the v3i here shortly. Its not THAT spectacular.

I don't know if I am even going to get the V3i. I don't have that kind of change to drop on a phone. The only way I will get it is if something happens to my V3 and XBM doesn't have anything other than the v3i to replace it with. So I'm just stuck where I am right now.

YEA I TRIED SPEAKING TO A SUPERVISON AND SHE DID'NT EVEN BUDGE!!!!! 👿

she put me on hold came back and said there is absolutly nothing to replace my v551 and proceeded to try to give me another damn v551.

correct me if im wrong but isn't the razr the closest thing to a v551? don't u actually give up a few features like video, edge....
i don't want a razr but at the least she could of helped me out.

is their a direct number to customer loyalty?

i tried speaking to a csr last night and she said they have phones they can sell me for like $75 dollars but she couldn't find the list and neither could anyone else. so she said she will be calling me back today. i don't know what phones they'll be offering but they better be goo...

try contacting the district manager of the area you live in. you'll have to contact a local store. it will either be an email address or a phone number they will give you.
