The memo I got today says the phone has things like the news scrolling at the bottom of the screen... (kinda like when you watch the news on tv)

I beleive Moto's PTT is over GPRS and cingulars PTT is using the voice channels.

yea the 557 doesn't use the kodiak platform.. maybe moto can work on the hardware and get it out using kodiak, but I doubt it. It's a tough phone, perfect for construction... u know, the people who actually have a reason for the service.
