A little birdy told me......to all Indirect signature stores
I heard up here in the north east that cingular is switching to a corporate store only policy. Does anyone no if this is going to happen? Does this mean that all signature stores are closing or are they going to be branded differently? I was just wondering if this rumor has any merit thanks.

I doubt it. Coporate stores are more expensive and more risky.
Verizon (Airtouch) did the same thing a while back and now they are going back to having mass agents.

They are more than likely speaking about the new criteria that each agent store must hit with the new contracts to continue to use "Cinuglar" branding...Contracts now give Cingular authority to strip branding rights and force agent to display company name on the signs instead

Yea this is right. Agents aren't going away, but they are weeding out bad agents (as they always are) and are requiring all stores be branded as cingular, with authorized retailer on all signs.
