Cingy is a tough one. Either call & call & call & call their tech support or pay ETF...

i would tell you but then i'd have to kill you. 🤣

or just move to an area where there is no coverage from cingular. (if you know what i mean) 😉

Thanks, is there any way for them to check?

they know where they have coverage and where they don't. they may ask for a copy of lease agreement or mortgage that's easy to obtain atleast there are many hardware stores and mom and pops spots in my area.

I don't know about you guys but just because you move to a non cingular market I have never let anyone out of a contract for that reason unless you are on military orders. Per csp if you started service when you were in a coverage area and you move out to a non service area then it is up to you to pay the MRC or etf. unfortunately unlike ATT wireless cingular has no partner networks to transfer to.so it may take escalating to a director of that call center or office of the president to make that decision. wish you luck on that one

That's exactly right, the contract will not be cancelled just because the customer relocates to an area that is not covered.

Ditto, Cingular policy specifically states that ETFs will be charged if you move out of a coverage area and attempt to cancel.
