Overall about Cingular's push to talk product

CINGULAR TO LAUNCH PUSH TO TALK (PTT) ON MONDAY (12/5/05). Cingular
Wireless launched a push-to-talk service on Monday, December 5th, as it hopes to take on Sprint
Nextel in offering the service. Cingular launched with two handsets, one from Samsung and one
from LG. Consumers on Cingular national plans and business plans can add the push-to-talk service
for $9.99 a month per line. Those on family plans can get the service for $19.99 for up to five lines.


ATTEMPTING TO TAP LESS PENETRATED MARKETS. Because of Nextel's (now Sprint)
dominance in the blue-collar worker market, Cingular first intends to go after markets that it views
as less penetrated, such as office workers, sales people and even teens and their parents. Cingular
