I need a hot mutlimedia phone, that works nicely as a phone. i need music and I'm going between the ROKR and W600i. I'm hearing the W600i can hold between 20 - 100 songs, but what about video? Can I record a show on the sony? As for the ROKR, is it true I can watch shows on it? Any word on the ROKR E2 release date? Is the only reason reason the ROKR is getting neg reviews is the design and 100 song limit?

HELP...Need one ASAP?!!!!!!

i have been watching activity on this site for sometime now but just signed up as a member.

i have never seen the w600i in action but my rokr rocks. understanding its a bar phone and most do not like bars anymore. i think its an alright phone. it has the standard moto ui with i tunes attached. it get up to 100 songs but i heard there is a way to bypass that. i haven't searched yet. i also hear there is a way to put tv shows on the phone but i haven't done that to mine either.

overall i like the phone and people i know that don't have always want to see my phone so they can listen to the itunes. granted its not an ipod but its a phone with ipod characteristics. hope this helps you some 🙂

I like my rokr. The music capabilities is a plus for me also the phone is similar to the v551 but has i-tunes on it. The rokr in my opinion is a better buy because u get doubble the memory as the w600(the rokr is still cheaper because the w600 you have to wait almost 3 months to get 100 dollars male in rebate back) Also the rokr u can put movies on it as long as the movie are in 3gp or mpeg4 format. You can get a bigger size transflash card an put more movie like files on the phone even though you can only get 100 music files on it using i-tunes. Both phones have the same size screan 2 inches diagnol. The rokr's battery life is excellent i think it boast 9 hrs of talk time. If u want a multimedia phone with a megapixel camera then go for th...

Are you limited to Apple's proprietary file system or can you put any mp3 on the ROKR? If you're limited to Apple files I'd say thats a MAJOR disadvantage of the ROKR. I'm thinking about the W600 because I liked the demo on Sony Ericsson's site showing how easy it was to rip songs from cds to your W600. I think I'd also like the flexibility to buy mp3s from a variety of sources like Napster, Rhapsody and Wal-Mart.

i download from everywhere i just store the music on itunes then transfer. i'v only had one problem. with a file from napster and after i converted it to acc format it was no problem.

oh btw the transfer rate can be a little slow if trying to transfer many files at once. as far a movies from the phone i haven't tried that yet. still doing my own lil research.

you can get the songs however you want, but you need to import them into the itunes software before you upload them to the phone
