What's XMB ?

anyways.. i really don't want to get one of those two options stated earlier.. come on they're not even NOKIA phones.. they're a totally different brand.. meaning they're gunna have to send me a new charger and new headset and it's weird.. i'm so accustomed to nokia phones.. and BLAH it's not fair.. a sony ericsson s710a would be better than one of those for sure.. atleast i could kinda use it as an mp3 player how i used the 6230 cause it had mmc card expansions up to 256 mb but i used a 1 gb card.. the siemens doesnt even support mp3 and the moto only has like 8 mb of internal memory with no expansion.. .. i'm bitter but oh well i'll just get that.. sell it.. and get something off ebay isntead.. :| i'm not happy...

Good Luck. Just insist on something with at least the same feature set of the 6230 and you should be OK.

Keep me posted on what happens.

I've had multiple customers with the 6230 problem. And I have told them all the same thing: turn off your phone at night. You aren't using it when you are sleeping, just turn the thing off and let it charge. Every customer who I have spoken with on this and told them this advice has told me that their phone works great now. You just need to give the thing a rest.

AWW i wish i was told earlier.. but thanks for your help a lot ! i mean it. getting one of those other phones woulda sucked compared to the 6230.. but i've gone a day without a phone for no reason now.. but that's okay atleast i don't have to wait a week to get a new one or anything.. :] thank you so much i wish they told me when i called lockline.

What did you have to do with the 6230 and how do you keep you phonebook and dont you have to wait for them to send you a phone...How long did you have the 6230?

Thanks

You keep the phonebook by storing it on the Sim card.

XBM only takes a couple of days to get the phone to you, and since I did mine through XBM, I had to send my 6230 back.

Why!!!!!!!!!! The thing works both ways....people call me...and that is not the intended purpose of the phone....it shouldn't have to be turned off every night...Nokia needs to recall the phone instead of putting us through this mess...or just replace it with a comparable Nokia....Most people bought Nokia for a reason.

Cingular recalled the phone because it is only an issue with Cingular branded phones. Therefore it is up to Cingular to replace it with whatever they deem necessary. It is just a shame that they don't have a comparable Nokia that they can replace it with.

This is not a Nokia issue because the models that are not Cingular branded do not have this problem.

I did misspeak because I know that is it a problem that lies with Cingular because they wanted certain features removed...

You are correct, my friend. But, I agree. Cingular handled this VERY wrong. They should have sent everyone an unlocked Nokia, or given them the choice of any phone they wanted....or something to that effect instead of letting people think they were getting screwed because of the problems.
