I just ordered an Imate sp3...it's almost the same as that audiovox smt5600 smartphone but it's triband.. i just wanted to know since Cingular is quadband, if this phone works on the Cingular networks in the California/Nevada areas. or if the 1900mhz is used in Las Vegas cause that's where i'm located.. and i don't travel much.. anyways if anyone has any info i'd be very thankful X]

Cingular runs on both 850 and 1900mhz. Quadband is a expression used to define phones which are capable of running on all the worlds 4 major frequencies(850, 900, 1800, 1900). If you are in the nevada area and your phone is either a cingular phone or a gsm unlocked phone then you should be good as long as it runs on 1900mhz. Hope this helps. 😉

Quad band won't do you diddly in North America. The only bands that will do you any good at all in North America are 850 and 1900. The other two bands are for use in Europe and Asia.
