There's been a couple of times when fedex would leave a phone i ordered on my doorstep when i wasn't home.. and i'm afraid a recent item i purchased was left on the doorstep by fedex and was stolen.

Does anyone know about that whole "leaving it on the doorstep thing"? cause i thought they needed a signature from someone from the address they delieverd it to for the order to be legit cause i'm stressing thinking i got a 500 dollar phone stolen because it was left on the doorstep.

Is there a number i can call fedex at like customer care where i give my address or name and they can tell me if a package has been delievered to me, is in the process of being delivered, or still being processed? cause i never got a tracking number..

Fedex only has to get a signature if the shipper requires it. I know VZW does to avoid liability if phones are stolen. If you call cingy they should be able to give you a fedex tracking # and fedex will have record of it being delivered. Dont know what your process is if it was stolen good luck with that cingy cust service tho 😁

I work for cingular customer care. If this package was delivered without a signature and the customer did not recive it will will just send them another phone. That is cingular's policy on fedex leaving phones at the door.

There should be an option to require a signature for a package. That way, it doesn't get delivered unless someone signs for it. I occasionally request stuff to be shipped to or from me to have a signature.

>Fedex and Cingular have a contract stating that it does not require a signature when delivering a phone.

>If you wanted to know when your phone was, you could of call anyone in cingular and they could of helped you get a tracking #. It requires about 12-24hrs to get the tracking # from the time you order the phone. Never depend cingular or FedEx to do the work for you. Always keep track of where your packages are at.

>If the phone was left @ the door and it was stolen you can do several things.
First you are going to find out what is the original point of sales.

-SSG: Helps any new accounts or additional lines on account.
-CLM: Helps with anyone from former AT&T. They also help with upgrades (beware not all upgrades are done th...
