I just wanted to post my experience working for cingular, since my last day will be tomorrow. Hmmmm...

Sales have been sluggish here, and we were supposed to get a cor store, (we're in a Kiosk,) but somehow "the deal" fell through. So this is the new course of action. I have been offered to be relocated to a store that is .45-1 hour away, but I am not interested since I am going back to work for VZW starting Tuesday.

sorry to hear about your outcome but at least you have another job lined up. Verizon from what i heard treats their employees very well. i actually had an interview with them a little while ago. in your experience how is the commission pay outs compared to cingular? is it much higher? i wouldnt mind working for them if they showed employee appreciation like at&t wireless did prior to cingular buying them. regardless though, any company in my opinion treats their sales people better than cingular does.

Were I'm at, which is a completely VZW dominated area, the payout is way better. Cingular pays you more per high end tier and data, but you will make more here with VZW just because your selling more. Way more.

your prob better off Cingular doesnt give two craps about its people its the worst company to ever work for, AWS was better in every single way from top to bottom, from top to bottom nobody knows what each other is doing the company is just too big, or its being managed poorly, the whole breaking up into regions is stupid. Every rep you speak to has a different set of rules to follow, how is that supposed to work? Its not and if things arent changed Cingular will be up for sale in no time and prob Telekom will buy
