hello all,
I am looking for the ultra small category of phones like the panasonic g51. I want one in this category with has good reception, preferrably color and supports sms. apart from that i dont need anything else, no camera, no mp3 etc. Just the smallest cingular phone. price is a concern, but i will try to get the best deal from some online site. also since I am out of contract now, I dont want to upgrade through cingular. I have a nationwide GAIT plan and use a 6340i. I am looking at a backup phone for everyday use.
thanks a lot

I never understood the want for a tiny phone. I'm not saying that I'd ever by a brick either but I figure that the smaller it is, the easier it is to lose. So my question I guess is, why tiny? What's the appeal?

i have a 6340i currently. when at work, the phone is 2 big in my pocket and just seems ugly with business attire. i carry my phone around always, so want a small one for work.
i have narrowed down to - sony t290a, siemens c61 and panasonic g51u.....any suggestions?

I'm not a big fan of panasonic, sony is good, but from a sales point of view, I have had less siemens come back then the sony or the panasonic

no it does not have to be. just small n light. my research so far has shown sony t290a and panasonic g51u as good phones. am not sure abt their signal capabilities though.
