Cingular Answertones!

So I don't think cingular has launched this officially per say... but it's there on your phone. You know verizon's ringback tones? Where these are the same idea, but you can customize them for each caller too! Just dial *8663 from your cingular cell. A customer actually came up and told me this... lol and I work for an agent company and had no idea!
Anyways I thought it was cool that cingular finally got these... I have been wanting one. Any way I can customize my phone I will do it!

It's a 1.99 per tone
and 99 cents a month to use it. The tones expire after one year of use. The system will read you all the T's C's when you find one you want. There isn't a huge selection available yet, Which is maybe why it hasn't officially launched ye...

You might also check out #43.. it's got several seconds of silence before it starts speaking, and it's costly to use (if you actually let it do it's thing), but it's another neat service, that's coming. I don't think it's launched officially yet either. 😎

YES! I am so happy, I have been waiting for this for a while now... So yea, works in Fresno, CA (Central Valley).

yes it works in the Carolinas...I think you cancel it though media net...Not really sure!

you cancel it through *tone. or calling an intelligent cingular rep. i have put them on my phone and when people called you still heard the regular ring. si i canceled them. the reps said since they aren't fully launched than he wouldn't try them.
