SE Z520 or wait for re-release w/ PTT?
I was wondering what everyone's opinion is on this. I have been looking at phones and pretty much have narrowed it down to the SE 7520 but read on another thread that the PTT will be released soon. Does anyone have any info on this? I am assuming it will also have the new firmware on it to correct the problems some people have had with this phone. Would it be worth the wait -- not sure I will get PTT right now but might do it down the line. Any idea what introductory pricing is normally like in situations like this? Thanks.

I recommend you wait for the re-release w/ ptt...even if you don't sign up for the monthly service, at least you have a capable phone.

no PTT on the Z520.. sony has an entirely new phone with PTT coming in april, and it has a camera as do the other PTT phones being launched that month.

I read today on our Cingular Sales Portal that they were to stop selling the phones and send them back to TX. When not turned on and off as part of regular usage, customers may experience issues with the Z520A including frozen animations, blank screens, top menu icon corruption and ring tones that don't play for incoming calls sooo.....I would wait đ

I'm not talking about the current z520...referring to a possibly soon-to-be z520 re-release w/ ptt....the current z520 is not equipped w/ kodiak ptt.

the z520 was recalled for software problems. There is no way this phone will be re-released with PTT. Samsung and LG have an exclusive on that segment until 4/1/06. Sony does have a phone coming, but not until at least then. (straight from our sony reps mouth)

April is the month to buy a phone...
Every manuf. has a PTT phone being released that month Moto, Samsung, LG(which is on mobiledia.com already) and sony. Nokia probably has one, but I can't nail it down or when it's being released, so I'll save that for a later post.

Cingular had pulled the Z520A 3 weeks ago from the Premier Website (Boston market) and put it back yesterday.
My corporate sponsorship price went from $50 to $107 during that gap.
Has there been any improvement? There is no indication that PTT has been added.
