Non-Exclusives are getting kicked to the Curb
Anyone else hear this rumor?
...
In October a memo was given to all sub-agents who non-exclusive contract with Cingular. If a minimum of 15 new activations (postpaid or pre-paid) is not acheived by Febuary 1st, they can kiss their agent code good-by. However, meet this basic requirement and all is well. I am in the Dallas Market.
Similarly, any Premier Agent not meeting a combined monthly activation amount of 50 or more will see their neon or awinging taken of its building.
It is nice to see this as in the greater Metroplex, there is a Cingular location on every corner. Some of the local malls have anywhere from 4-6 points of distribution. This is why my store is in a rural area.

No offense dude but you are a bit behind the times. Most former ATTWS non exclusive agents have been told to become exclusive or go elsewhere. Cingular has almost always been exclusive with the exception of national retail.
As Will said, many of these "agents" don't do many Cingular acts yet take up revenue and resources to be supported. They are being required to step up activity of look elsewhere.
