Does anyone know why Cingular is going with these two, to launch all of there new service.
the 3G and the PTT? I would have love to seen them go with Nokia and SE or even Moto over the two that they went with.

even worse news is.....

the LG phone was discontinued... we pulled the displays today and were told not to expect anymore. :-/

keep in mind this has no bearing on the ptt service... it was just a bad (all lg's) model.

All lg's? I personaly have an LG 6100 and it has been the best phone I have used to date. Very easy to use and reliable. It also gets a better signal strength then any motorola ive seen.

the LG 6100 is a CDMA Verizon phone

LG has been doing CDMA for years but with GSM, they seem pretty clueless to me

The LG 7200 is still available in our market. Also the Samsung PTT model has had a worse history than the 7200. The Samsung was recalled the day after release, and lately while LG models have gotten better Samsung reliability has decreased. My customers get much better reception from the LG 1500 than the Samsung x497, even though it costs less.

Once the LG sells out, I doubt you'll receive more.. We've been out of them for a few weeks now and our marketing dept told us not to expect anymore..

As far as the samsung, it wasn't released when it was recalled, maybe that was my market. It was reflashed, and we received them about a week later than expected. Since then, we have had a good supply, and have had no problems with it.

Ours were released, and then recalled, but with the BOGO offer and wholesale cost being so high we would've lost too much money so we just didn't take any back. The cost has dropped since then but they're still not selling well for us. The P207 was also recalled about a week after it was released in our market, which cost our stores a lot of money. The only one people like around here is the C207, but that's only available online. It just hasn't been encouraging.

The 7200s have been almost impossible to keep in stock, but that's because they've had a high demand for us. They've been running about three weeks behind on shipping those phones to us, but we just keep ordering more. It was a promising phone, so I hope it's not canned eve...

but you have to remember, the p207 was out online for almost 2 months before it came to stores.. The software was changed, which is what caused the problem. As soon as they went back to the original software, the phone was outstanding again.

We haven't had the c207 since sept.. The 6030 has now replaced that and the 3120.

As far as the 7200, my fiance wants one, and I'll get it for her, even though I personally don't like it, if it becomes available again.

I think they're just the first ones who've decided to make the equipment for us. The HSDPA phones are a first for it's technology, so it's no big surprise to me that there won't be many offered at first.
