I am trying to get opinions for which is better. I currently have SPCS and have been with them for 5 years. I can see advantages to staying and leaving. I am trying to find out if the service is any better with Cingular or not. Sprint isn't bad, but I am here in San Antonio and I travel around Texas, so Cingular would offer more coverage area. What are your impressions of Cingular, its service, its customer service, etc. Any comments are helpful. If I go to Cingular, I am going to get the Motorola V400s. Anyone have anything on those? Keep in mind that their customer service rating is low even for an industry that scores low on average. Also, the at&t merger has the potential to cause cust service problems. This being said, with any company most of the time you can get a cust serv rep to help you simply by being polite and patient.

Spint got the short end of the stick in the PCS auctions in the 90's. they spend soooo much money to buy licences, that they had no money to build a network, and they have been playing catchup. this is also a reason why over the last 2 to 3 years, they have actually converted over to the same CDMA standard as Verizon, so that they COULD roam on VZW's network and APPEAR to have more coverage.
