850 vs 1900 coverage map
Does Cingular have a map that shows coverage by frequency? Tmobile has one on their web site, it is mainly 1900 in urban and 850 rural. This seems logical, but don't know if it is the same for Cingular. I asked a store sales rep and got a blank stare.

no man only the fcc and inseders deeeeeeep insiders on the companie can tell you that.
the only reason its so easy to tell from the t-mobile websit is because their native towers (t-mobile owned towers) are all 1900mhz they run like sprint does, only in the pcs 1900mhz band. all of the 850 on both companies are roaming agreements with other carriers. be it with cingular or various other companies that host the same technology and have the 850 band.
and naturally the 1900 band is hosted on interstates and flat areas due to the fact that that bandwidth is very weak in the penetration section. but t-mobile and sprint are the exception for that.
hope this helps.

After that, I stopped by a Cincinnati Bell Wireless store (they only cover the Dayton and Cincinnati areas) and they are only 1900 MHz on their GSM network. I have only had Sprint, so I'm looking to compare with the GSM carries in my area (Cingular, T-Mobile and CBW), especially the coverage in the outlying areas.
