How many PTT subscribers??

I've looked everywhere I can think of, but can't find an acurate count of PTT subscribers on Cingular's network... I'd be interested to know how it has fared across the company.

I know what my store has done, but I want to know nationwide numbers...

Anyone got any info??

You bring up a good point....I am curious to know myself. I think Cingular's PTT is still to early in its infancy to make a noteworthy post. My store has done a buisness account of 35 and another of 6 lines. No personal use as of yet besides myself.

Someone else posted a good idea of prepaid PTT, like Boost Mobile. Yery good idea if you ask me.

Yea, ppd would be a good idea, but that would have to wait until april when lower priced phones come out.

The company said ptt sales were higher than expected, but didn't give any numbers... i'm gonna look on csp today to see if I can find any numbers on it.

I can't wait until the day nextel can't say they have a lock on that market with 17 million. If only 25% of cingular's customers signed up for it, that would equal almost 13.5 million... that would be nice to say 🙂

I wish they would at least announce more phone that will be released(a product roadmap would be very useful for us reps). i know a lot more people would get PTT if they had phones with cameras and stuff.

on another note, does anyone know if the SLVR is going have PTT on Cingular?

No PTT......according to the POP and launch materials from Moto.

LG and Samsung have exclusive rights on PTT until April 1st.

I doubt it.. from what the reps from the manufacturers have told us, all the new ptt phones will be completely new models.

the info we got from our marketing mgr a few days ago was there are a few diff phones coming on april 1 (estimates of course)

Moto, samsung and lg(all camera phones) will be launched with ptt, none of which are out now, all are new models.
Note: the lg is already listed on mobiledia.com

Sony will launch one later in april(also a camera ptt)

nokia has one, but I can't find out the release date for it.

Oh yea.. .the SLVR.. no PTT on this phone, it's strictly a i-Tunes phone. But the RAZR V3i will be launche din april too 🙂 another i-Tunes phone, this should rightfully be called the 2nd i-Tunes phone and the SLVR should be the first... we won't count the ROKR. It was out of date before it hit store shelves. Apple had to much...
