I actually think if Vodafone would have been successful in their bidding for ATTWS that it wouldn’t really change much except that they could infuse more funds because they have a lot of money, however, they would be forced to sell a lot of Verizon Wireless and I am not sure that is such a wise thing to do. Perhaps that is why they didn’t want to overbid Cingular’s offer.

The big plan for ATTWS were to change their image, to increase coverage in many areas, and to tie in with Vodafone’s operations and GSM networks to make a seamless network worldwide and domestically. i don't remember seeing much of an at*tws struggle. they outsind of t-mobile had excellent customer and tdma service. when gsm first rolled out YES there were some problems to start. but attws was a great company that just couldn't keep using a name so the sold out quickly before they
had to spend billions on a %100 company overhaul without at&t propers help.

i also think vodaphone in the state would turn the cullular industry here out. they IMO would smash everyone.

You should perhaps search up some of the things about ATTWS and you will be surprised at your findings.

Well AT spun off ATTWS so they didn’t really need to infuse any more funds unlike what BLS and SBC do with Cingular.

Well yea, Vodafone will do...
