is the etf changing to $175?
i have noticed in opus that on a 2 year contract it shows $175 beside it... i was just wondering..

Yes -- CSP states that effective this month, the ETF will be a non-prorated $175 for all markets. Cingular needs to update its advertising smallprint though -- I noticed in Sunday's Best Buy ad the small print still mentions the $240 prorated etf for certain markets.

Care markets only get -now- prorated charges. This is news to me. I was completely unaware of this! I think it's fair though. Why have the telegence markets on different ETF policy than care. I think it's great than Cingular is trying to be more uniform in all markets

What is the effective date on this? And does it apply to people who re-signed a contract before the $175 etf was implemented. I just re-signed my contract last week...agreed to the standard $240 etf, reduced $20/month every month.

Ant -- just read your contract. Cingular cannot change the etf fee on you if you've agreed to the old amount and that is stated in your contract. As I said before, Cingular is as bound to your contract as you are. By the way -- did you sign a one year contract or two? If you signed a two year contract the proration reduction would be $10 per month by the old standard.
