Hello all...

I'm currently a T-mobile customer and my contract is up in April...I was looking at other carriers just to see how they compare w/ t-mobile. I have no problems w/ t-mobile coverage but on Long Island i know cingular has a slight edge, however when I looked at cingulars data plans (I use texting frequently) I noticed they are REALLY bad....$5 for 200 messages? i have 400 pic/text message for that price right now...& my sister (using t-mobile) has 300 messages & unlimited internet for $3 (old data plan)

I dont understand...from what i know txt messages cost carriers almost nothing to send yet they are ripping u off

will Cingular be changing there data plans anytime soon???

Thanks,
Nick

I've heard RUMORS (let me make that very clear R-U-M-O-R-S) from some our higher ups that they are working on plan similar to Verizon's in texting (which would only make sense so I'm willing to believe that one), as well as a straight up unlimited text package (comes from a pretty credible source however even she wasn't positive it would ever come to fruition), for some ridiculous amount of course.

Also yes data costs carries practically dollars, but as the price for voice minutes continues to drop the carries have got to make the cost up somewhere, and currently that's with data features.
