Hey all--

I'm considering getting either the Cingular 8125 or the IPAQ 6515. If anybody has any recommendations I'd appreciate it. I'm specifically interested in signal strength, application performance of the software on the phone, and overall usability. Thanks!

Yeah, Marcus is right.

I'm partially contemplating getting the 8125 myself, however I'd like to get one in my store so that I can look at it and play with it to know for sure.

It's going to be hard to get myself pried away from my 6682.

I'm with you Mr. Crinkles. I have owned my 6682 since September. The only thing that really intrigues me about the 8125 is the Wi-Fi...but that is gonna be on the N80, and the E70, and I am pretty sure once Nokia modifies the N80, Cingular will pick it up..and that is the phone I want...

Check out some of the posts in the 8125 forum. I'm currently using this phone and have to agree with a lot of other users. This phone needs a better processor. application speed in terrible compared to the HP. It's almost impossible to have multiple applications open at the same time. I guess it all depends on your requirements.

If your looking for a compact device with good call quality and you're not a power windows user or have large files, this is for you.

If you are a power user and really want a business tool, go with the HP.

You will definetely want to play with the phones first. I got the 8125 last week and returned it.

It is a far better buy. Windows 5, Wi-Fi,and better screen. However, I could not deal with how sluggish the 8125 was. It is really slow in my opinion.

The 6515 is not a speed demon, but it was much more responsive. I do not like the square screen, but the GPS is a really nice feature. I never really cared about this before, but once I started using it I can't imagine not having the ability to find the nearest ATM, restaurant, post office, etc.

If you can wait for the Ipaq hw6925, that should be the best option. It will have even a faster processor than the 6515, will have windows 5 and built in Wi-Fi, etc. It will still have the squa...
