When will 3G phones be released nationwide?

I know VZW released 3G phones in areas where they didn't have EV-DO. (my market) so, why can't cingular do the same thing?

anxiovert, my honest guess is money. cingy doesn't wanna foot the cash for all these phones and only 16 markets have the technology it uses.
oh an btw, did you know VZW still tries to push v-cast on ev-do phones even in the MANY areas that don't have it yet. i can tell you in my area no salesman has had luck.

vzw has ev-do phones in all markets because all the phones with ev-do for sale now all have BLUETOOTH and MEGAPIXEL camera. so if you want either one you get the others. thats another reason why they have the all across the network for sale.
