Should I switch from my old AT&T GSM contract to a new Cingular contract?
The problem is that over the past 2 months my service has gotten worse and worse, for both my phone and my wife's. The major symptom is audio breaking up, especially the other caller's audio. This happens even with good signal indicator on the phone (3+ bars), from places, such as my house, where my service used to be excellent. I have a Sony Ericsson T616, and my wife has an S-E T236, both locked to AT&T.
My question is: if I re-sign with Cingular and get new phones will my service improve? Or is the problem not that I have an "AT...

I will say for right now, your at&t phone is not picking up cingular's network, which is much larger than at&t's. So I think its fair to say your service will be better on cingular's network.
Based on my experience, and that of the other person who responded, it would appear that Cingular's policy may have changed recently. Does anyone know if this is true?
