For those out there with the SLVR
I just got this phone, but I have some questions about this phone. Please refrain from answering if you DONOT have the phone.
I got this phone 2 days ago, but I have noticed that the pics on this phone come out really dark, even in a well lighted room. Also, the phone is not as loud as my V551, this is somewhat frustrating. Anyone else having this problem? Do I have a defective phone? Should I have it replaced?

You don't necessarily need a replacement. I'm a rep, and I carry the same phone, and a few of our shipments had issues with the exposure settings on the phone being programmed at the lowest level out-of-box. Before you try to get it replaced, go into your camera as if you were taking a picture, and press the button that scrolls right. It should show the word "exposure." Try pressing to the right until the exposure is set at +2, and see if that doesn't help.

yes you need replacement. my friend rokr takes pics as clear as my s710, im jealous. it doeswn't sound as good as the e1, s710, but is very egual to the w600i. loud but no heavy bass, if you get where i'm comin from. ringers scream, his custome tones are even so loud some have a tad distotion. i think thats in all moto's espically nextel's. so i'd say replace it.

When I said it wasnt as loud as my v551 I meant the earpiece (not the speaker) my speaker is cristal clear even better than V551. It's just the earpiece that's not as loud as my v551. This and the dark pics are the only flaws I find on the phone. âšī¸ but I love it so far

No problems... Love the phone.. the pics and video are really nice. I have taken the same pic with SLVR and a 1.3 cam phone and emailed and printed them. Side by side, the SLVR pics look better. I like how you can also change the storage locations from phone to card.

Replace it. Better to be safe than sorry. Mine doesnt have that problem and it sounds unusal to me.

hey Anxiovert, i talked on his phone. his speaker is pretty good. not as loud as the v551 as you said, but its equal to the razr. i did find that i had to hold it on an angle trying to get the speaker in my ear to hear it its loudest. just like the razr. but even befor doing that i was able to hear at the mall on a friday night.

Cool! but [comparing the SLVR to the v551] Do you think that the SLVR is as loud (earpiece) as the SLVR? I think I might go to a store and try out another SLVR and if it sound louder than mine, I'll exchange it. Have I mentioned how much I like this phone? It's so sexy! đ

the v551 is louder. hands down. i think the earpieces in the razr/slvr lineup are on some angle or something to conform with the sharp curve at the top of the phone.

I'm sorry sowhatsowhat10, but no matter how many angles I try to talk on my beloved phone, I can't still hear plp on the other end. I'm really starting to think that I have a SLVR with a defective earpiece.
