Lowering the bar. . .

So, Cingular's b2b depts. pull in just over 50% of the profit for the whole company, even though it's only about 20% of the customer base. These are the huge companies, end users for corporate lines, employees with sponsorship discounts, and the like. Until now, AT&T/Cingular has had a live help desk for reps who deal with this customer/end user base. Have a question about a discounting issue? Call the Resolutions Desk! Customer is upset & wants to speak to a manager but one isn't available? Call the Resolutions Desk! Got a general question that no one seems to know the answer to? Chances are, someone at Resolutions will know what to do.

This WAS a highly specialized group of teams that handled all the difficult issues that regular ...

Ia m a veteran of Cingular customer care. I am an experienced orange rep and union member. Cingular has tried many different things to replace me because I make to much. I am in a specialty group of reps and they had us differing to management on every decision. That has now changed and management is differing to reps on decisions and then backing their reps. They relize that was better than taking sup calls all day.

somewhat agreed ,but ya need to check the facts on the managers not available . Manager to rep ratio 19/1 granted not the best number but when you have 1,000 people in a center thats a lot of bodies to cover . The bottom line is we do have enough managers to handle escalations and to manage reps , just a little f.y.i

hey, sprint isnt too far behind...they decided to do away with all floor support, and now only the managers can answer your questions....only thing is, there are no managers when u need one around...
