on motorola's website they have an accessory called Mobile Phone Tools. I think it's somewhere in the neighborhood of $59 (includes software and cable), but it does exactly what you want. you can also use it to transfer ringtones to your PC to your phone (mp3's, midi, etc.), you can synchronize your phone book with your outlook phone book, and it also will let you use your V400 (or other moto phone) as a wireless modem.
