Im thinking about choosing cingular over verizon which I have now because Verizon has treated me terribly. I'd like to find the right phone for me. I have some qualifications the phone needs to have: #1 The best reception possible for rural areas, #2 Bluetooth, #3 A great quality external speaker for taking calls #4 and good battery life. I also have no need for a camera. I know this is a tall order but I would really like some good feedback. Thanx ahead of time for you help! P.S. Ive been considering the SLVR and the Sony Ericsson W600i / W550i.

where are you located? maybe someone here has knowledge on that location. A zip code helps as well for those Cingular reps that post on here that can look up that area more closely.

Motorola E1 ROKR! I use that phone.

1.) I get an average of 2 bars better in my basement residence than I did with my last phone.

2.) It has bluetooth. I use the Motorola HS850 with it and I am very happy. They use the same charging ports too!

3.) The speaker on that thing is amazing. I find myself going speakerphone when I'm at home and on the computer.

4.) Even with bluetooth on, I can charge it every other day. And I do quite a bit of talking.

It has all the features of the SLVR plus flash for the camera (SLVR does not have flash) and it's less expensive since it doesn't attempt to do that thin and skinny thing.

I can say from experience that the SLVR is a great phone!! With it i have had at least a bar maybe 2 better in just about everyplace than my V551 got and bluetooth connectivity is instant with my headset (Motorola HS850) and the speakerphone is good too. And this might not be important to you but it's a conversation started just about anywhere you go. 😉
