phones second quarter for Cingular

The lineup scheduled for the second quarter is hot for Cingular. I can only be general due to being an employee. I can only say that Nokia is determined to win back the US consumer starting with Cingular's business customer's. I can only drop hints and Motorola is looking to make u forget embarrassing sales of the E1. Look for Cingular to make sure that they are the leader in handsets. The 3g lineup will be greatly improved.

Can we expect to see the Samsung ZX-20 or Nokia N80 in the second quarter? Thanks!

Thats a good question. I have to say u can expect very compelling phones from Nokia for Cingular. That move along the lines of the popular Cingular 8125 and nokia 9300. The 8125 has been even more popular with consumers than some anticipated. Motorola and Cingular making business and consumers forget about Cingular not getting the Q. Sony building on their recent comeback with a device that is widely known but everything else is secret.

Cingular has canceled plans to use the N80... that was from a Nokia spokeswoman/promoter that stopped by my location yesterday at least.
However she didn't seem like she was on top the the N-Series devices and was more focused on promotion of average Nokia units (6102, 6030, 6101, etc).
It is entirely possible that she was misinformed and was thinking of Cingular rejecting it (temporarily) due to lack of support for a widely used Cingy UMTS frequency (can't remember the exact details...).

I never mentioned the n80. Nokia sells more entry level handsets than anybody. The n80 was sent back to Nokia because it did not support UMTS on the 850mhz. Cingular made an exception with the 6282. Cinular is trying to see how many people get the nokia 9300. Symbian has not really been selling as well as other operating systems. Windows mobile is really hot right now.
