Is Cingular Changing the name to AT&T?
I have heard that cingular is changing back to AT&T not sure why they would do this if they are, they spend so much money changing AT&T to Cingular.

It's a complete Coincidence. They are not changing the name "back" to AT&T Wireless. AT&T wireless, the company that way bought & assimilated into Cingular, ceased to exist some time ago. The parent companies of Cingular have (begun to) merge, and since SBC is in the process of globally rebranding itself AT&T (which has very little if any connection to the Telecomm Giant of old), its natural that they would rebrand all of their subsidiaries as well. Thus, Cingular will, at some point roughly a year from now, will be renamed AT&T wireless. It is NOT an acquisition, just a name/branding change.

"AT&T Wireless" is gone. "at&t" will be our new name. Do not confuse the two... they are actually two completely seperate deals.
It will be very fun for all us Cingular Reps though dealing with old Blue customers...
"No actually you have an AT&T wireless phone... not an AT&T phone..." I already have a fun enough time with blue customers now (sarcasm) I can't imagine the nightmare they will be once this goes into effect.
