Network name in phone Display (CINGULAR)

As of Thursday my W600 began to display the network as CINGULAR. I don't remember if I did a power cycle before I noticed the change. Before that it read Cingular.
I am in the Boston market.
Thinking that it might have to do with the network integration (gold network), I did a network search using a T637 with a blue chip. I still found two cingular networks and t-mobile.

Can somebody explain?

I think unintegrated towers are displaying 'CINGULAR' or (CINGULAR) meaning they are kind of faux cingular towers. It is like that in Tucson, AZ.
